More Details

We have just added quilted top mattress toppers to already new mattresses for added comfort. Plus new higher thread count white sheets were added to inventory.

March 2018 we added a new 39″ flat screen (largest one that fits the fireplace niche) .

Phone service is proveded by two separate lines. One 911 land line that is for emergencies and one internet based phone for local and long distance calling. (noted on back of phone handset)

We recommend using Ray’s Weather for basic planning but because of the area we are in (side of mountain facing a valley) there could be rain at the cabin but not down in Boone or where you may want to travel. Utilize the many local weather cams on Ray’s site to plan your day. Essentially we just pack rain gear when we head out and just go. We have learned over many years of traveling to this area that the rain showers typically don’t last long.

If you are short of ideas on what to do on a Rainy day, check out Mystery Hill, walk downtown in the shops or check the weather cams and head to Roan Mountain in Tn or Grayson Highlands in Va…. There is plenty to do in any direction!
